Em março de 1979, a pesquisadora Jennie Zeidman, do Centro para Estudos de OVNIs (CUFOS, Evanston, Illinois), publicou uma análise detalhada de um relato de encontro entre um helicóptero e um objeto não identificado sobre o estado de Ohio, nos Estados Unidos. O documento, preservado no acervo do Arquivo Nacional, reconstitui a cronologia do evento com base nos depoimentos da tripulação — identificada pelos sobrenomes Coyne, Yanacsek e Healey —, que descrevem a aproximação de uma luz vermelha no horizonte que teria convergido em direção à aeronave e permanecido estacionária sobre ela por cerca de dez segundos.
